The Department of Otorhinolaryngology (Ear, Nose and Throat) at Central Government Vardhman Mahavir Medical College And Safdarjang Hospital is one of the busiest ENT Department in the Country.

·         It caters to patients suffering from various Ear diseases, Nose and Para Nasal Sinus diseases, Larynx and Voice Disorders cases as well as Head & Neck Cancer Cases.

·         More than 500 patients daily attend the outpatients department.

·         Daily 10-11 patients are Operated in the two routine OT besides 4-5 cases in the Emergency OT

·         The Present Head, Professor (Dr.) V.P. Venkatachalam conducted the first Live Surgical Workshop on Endoscopic Sinus Surgery in the department in September 1995.

·         The Department runs Tumor Clinic once a Week and Endoscopic Clinic Thrice a Week.

·         Medical staff includes 9 Faculty (3 Professors, 3 Associate Professor,2 Assistant Professor & 1 Specialist) and 4 Medical Officers ( 2 CMO(NFSG) & 2 SMO).

·          Residents’ Staff includes 9 SRs and 14 JRs (PG).

·         Every year 150 U.G. students & 6 PG students are admitted from I.P. University through NEET Exams.

·         Faculty is involved with the teaching activities of the UG and PGs besides their Clinic Work.
